Taurus II - A Floating Experience

 This is the Taurus II, a boat fully restored in 2025. The boat features a double bed, an equipped kitchenette, an extendable table, and a bathroom with an electric toilet.

The Taurus II is a classic 1970s sailboat, fully restored in 2025. It offers a floating accommodation experience, unlike a conventional apartment. The interior space is compact but functional, typical of a 24-foot sailing vessel. The boat may rock slightly with the marina's waves, which is part of the experience. Access is via the Marina da Horta dock, with a slight incline to board. The bathroom has an electric toilet, which operates differently from a conventional toilet. We recommend non-slip shoes for walking on deck. Pets are welcome on board.

Horta Marina is located in the city center, making it easy to explore Horta on foot. To explore the rest of Faial Island (Capelinhos, Caldeira, North Coast beaches), we recommend renting a car. Car rental companies are available in the city and at the airport, a 10-minute drive away. Taxis are available next to the marina. The ferry to Pico Island (Madalena) departs from the maritime terminal, just a 3-minute walk from the boat, with regular 30-minute crossings. Horta Airport has direct flights to Lisbon and inter-island connections.

Horta Marina is one of the most emblematic ports of call in the Atlantic, known worldwide for the sailors who leave paintings on the quay as a good luck tradition. The boat is moored less than a 5-minute walk from Horta's historic center, with direct access to restaurants, cafes, the iconic Peter Café Sport, and the Whalers Museum. Porto Pim Beach is a 10-minute walk away. Supermarkets and a pharmacy are less than 500 meters away. From the marina, the view of Pico Mountain at sunset is one of the most impressive in the Azores.
